The new heavy-weight blanket weighs 6 lbs—twice as much as the standard Nomex blanket. Its added weight comes from layers of ballistic nylon sewn inside for extra weight and comfort.
Unlike other weighted blankets, it contains no sand, glass, plastic beads, or other loose materials, eliminating the risk of internal materials shifting or being tampered with.
